Berkeley College has a password policy in place to protect your privacy. The Berkeley College default password follows a format of Bc#$MMSTID. This is for Blackboard, Student Self Service, Office 365 Email, and classroom computer access.
That is (CAPITAL B) (lower case c) (Pound Sign) (Dollar Sign) (the two digit month of your birth) (STID - the last four numbers of your student ID found on your student ID card).
Example: If you were born in March and the last four digits of your student ID is 5555, your new default password will be Bc#$035555.
Changing your Blackboard, Student Self Service, Computer, and Office 365 Email password:
For security purposes, you must change your password to a strong password. A strong password is at least eight characters long and has at least one of each of the following, a capital letter, a lower case letter, a number and a special character like !@#$%^&*. Information on how to change your passwords are below.

Please upload a photo of yourself to your Blackboard Profile Page [Logon to Blackboard / Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner / Click on the “View Profile” icon on the left / Click on the Settings and Privacy button / Click “Change Picture” / Follow the instructions and click save once complete.]. Photos must meet the following requirements:
(1) You may use an existing digital photo or a scanned picture. Acceptable file formats include JPG and GIF.
(2) Your face must be easily recognizable and occupy at least 50 percent of the image.
(3) The photo must show you, and only you. Please do not upload images of your children, pets, or other people.
(4) The photo must be properly focused and not appear artsy, blurry, fuzzy, or grainy.
(5) The photo must be free from provocative, political, obscene, disparaging or otherwise inappropriate verbal and/or nonverbal messages.
(6) The photo must belong to you and not infringe on a third party’s copyright. You will be held solely responsible for any such infringement.
(7) The photo must not promote any products or services or be commercial in nature.
By uploading your photo, you grant Berkeley College a non-exclusive, perpetual, global, royalty-free license to reproduce, adapt, distribute and publicly display the photo, and you rescind any previous instructions to the contrary you may have given under the FERPA policy or otherwise; you acknowledge and accept all of the requirements listed above and in applicable College policies, including the Social Media, Equal Opportunity and Copyright policies; and you agree to remove the photo immediately at the request of the College.
